When it comes to the fourth of July, the more patriotic the better. It’s not every day we can obnoxiously celebrate America’s birthday. However, how often do you actually wear your “Red, White, and Booze” shirt? Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for being festive. Although, logically it doesn’t really make sense.
I would much rather spend money on pieces that I can utilize throughout the whole summer. Whether you are spending your holiday grilling out at home or at a big party on the lake, I’ve put together three different fourth of July outfit ideas that will have you feeling amazing all summer long.

Sometimes less is more. I think this is the hardest concept for me to understand, because I want all the options. However, you can’t go wrong with a white blouse during the summer. In fact – if you don’t own a white blouse, I highly suggest you getting one during all the fourth of July sales. I’m obsessed with the eyelet detailing on this one from Princess Polly. Plus, the square neckline is super on-trend this season, so the construction of the piece alone leaves you looking chicer than ever. I will say I would size up with anything from them. Since they are originally Australian based, they do tend to run small.
Pair it with some striped paper bag shorts and people will know you have your finger on the pulse of this season’s trends. Not to mention, the stripes add that festive flare to your look without even trying. My secret weapons with this look is definitely the accessories. Try pairing a hair scarf with a straw hat for a unique pop. For that finishing touch, load up on your fav red lipstick. I just recently found a new lipstick that tops my Ofra Cosmetics “Atlantic City” and I couldn’t be more excited – long time coming!
Patriotic Vacation Vibes
If you’re a lot cooler than me and are spending your holiday on vacation or a festive party, this dress would make quite the statement! I’ve been eyeing this gorgeous dress for so long and I’m so glad I waited. It’s currently under $60 and will take you well throughout the season. Whip it back out for some graduation parties, casual weddings, or showers and you’ll always have a go-to event dress waiting for you in your closet.
[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]To amp up the patriotic vibes, I styled this dress with some fun accessories. First off, can we talk about these Kendra Scott seaglass-like earrings – amazing! I basically bought the whole collection and I don’t regret it one bit. They are incredibly light, so they aren’t uncomfortable and won’t tear your ear lobes. Plus, these white heels have become my go-to event shoes this summer. Not only do they go with everything, but they add the perfect punch of sophistication. I’m always feeling myself when I wear these that strap adds such a unique twist to the everyday mule. Rachel Zoe, you always come in clutch.
Trendy for Merica’
If you’ve been around for a hot minute, you know one of my favorite trends this year is biker shorts. When you mix trendy and sporty, I’m all in. Mix it into a two-piece set and I’ll hand over my credit card. This is such a unique look and it may not be for everyone. However, I’m here to push your creativity! You don’t know till you try. Plus, this true-blue color really makes such a fun statement. The perfect look for those scorching hot, summer days.
If you’re not feeling the cowboy boots (although it truly authentic here in Kentucky), you can always swap them for some comfy sneakers. Realistically, I’ll probably be wearing this look with some converse on the fourth. Comfy and cute, yet still makes that festive statement for America!
[ezcol_1half][/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end][/ezcol_1half_end]However you spend your holiday, I challenge you to utilize pieces that you can wear all summer long. Change it up this year and have some fun with your styling. Mix in your favorite straw accessories or add those unique cowboy boots to keep those festive vibes alive. Let me know how you’re spending your fourth of July and I hope it’s a good one!

You are so fabulous girlfriend! I need those blue stripe shorts in my closet!
I love how all of these could be worn for after the 4th too!
I feel exactly the same way and don’t tend to buy gimmicky shirts I can’t wear all year around! I don’t celebrate 4th of July since I’m French but I do love to wear blue, white and red for Bastille Day so these outfits are perfect for me too!
I love all of these looks, especially the last one with the boots and the first one with that cute white top! So lovely babe. I can’t wait to celebrate the 4th!
These outfits are SO KILLER. I probably won’t venture out of my house on the fourth this year as I’m SO pregnant and need air conditioning LOL
These outfits are amazing! I love how creative you were with your pieces. The first one is my favorite. The contrast of the outfit with the red door is definitely a wow factor.

I kinda laugh at myself on a regular basis, because red, white, and blue are probably my favorite colors to wear in the summertime – so I’m often patriotic without purposing to be! I love love the first outfit you styled, and the dress is stunning too. You’ve got some amazing looks here, girlfriend!
