Why Can’t Festival Fashion Be Year Round?

Every summer, festival fashion comes back in full swing. From music to fashion to beauty, festival fashion has become a whole style unto it’s own. Although, why does it have to end when summer ends? Creativity is all about interpretation, and that means there’s no expiration date. I think it’s time to bend the rules a bit, and expand upon this beloved style. For all the daredevils and visionaries, I’m so exciting to be partnering up with Bed Head Styling and Her Campus Media and I’m sharing how to transition your festival fashion trends into the fall!

Fashion

This year kimonos, two piece sets, sneakers, belt bags, and all things sheer have been the center of attention in the festival fashion realm. As we move into fall, it’s time to slightly adjust and reinvent these summer trends. Even though fall isn’t here yet, there are forecasted trends that can easily be incorporated into festival fashion right now –  western inspired pieces, animal print, tailoring, leather, luxe fringe. Needless to say, this dress will fit in just perfectly. Because of it’s snake skin print and western inspired styling, you can easily transition festival fashion into your fall wardrobe.

Hair

When in comes to the festival scene, hair plays a major role. There are no rules with festival hairstyles! The more creative the better. I’ve been particularly drawn to the natural, curly hair, because it’s just so retro and effortless. Needless to say, I took this quite literally and was so excited to channel my inner lion with a voluminous mane. With the Bed Head Curlipops™ 1/2″ Tourmaline Ceramic Skinny Pop Styling Iron, it made life so easy to really let my natural curls do all the talking. The styling iron really does all the work, and all you have to do it comb through your hair with your fingers.

The great thing about this look is the messier, the better. It’s foolproof for those days when your hair just does not want to work. Just go with the flow, and cater to it! With second day hair I was easily able to curl mine, without worrying about the weird kinks in my head from rolling around non-stop in my sleep the night before. I’ve been gifted the ability to take showers at night now (praise Jesus)!

Accessories

Que the western booties, belt bags, and retro sunnies! To transition your festival accessories into the fall, catering to animal prints and western inspired pieces is the way to go. Another great way to incorporate festival fashion trends into your everyday wardrobe is to layer your necklaces. No matter what clothes you wear, the layering of different necklaces really adds an effortlessly cool vibe to your look. I mean, that’s exactly what festival fashion is, right?
