I know this phrase has been going around this season on social media, but I had not the slightest idea what it meant. I thought maybe it was just a super extra way to say it’s freakin hot out, but I’ve learned that it’s not the case. Created by the rapper Megan Thee Stallion, the phrase is meant to empower and exude confidence in being unapologetically you. At the end of the day, Hot Girl Summer is an anthem to dress however you like in order to feel your best self.
As excited as I am to go all out on all things fall and Halloween, it’s just way too early. I mean it’s August and pumpkin spice lattes (PSL) have already been released. Hold your horses people! There’s still roughly a month left of summer, which still leaves us plenty of time to live out our “Hot Girl Summer.” It’s the final stretch and quite frankly that’s when all the excitement happens – so let’s do this!
