Will Work for Western

The western trend is in full swing this fall! Whether it’s buckled belts, bandana scarfs, high boots, or felt hats, western inspired pieces are killing the game. Since it is so popular this fall, I’ve noticed the times it is not being showcased. Moreover, the only place that it is not fully expressed is in the office. I decided to change the game up a bit and show you an acceptable way to pull of this trend at work. In any case, challenge accepted.

Generally speaking, the most tasteful way I found to incorporate your western ways in the office is to do so subtly. In short, stick to one or two western-styled pieces. For example, I chose some Vince Camuto knee high boots and an Urban Outfitters buckled belt. All things considered, this allows for the trend to be broken up just a bit and enjoyed without being completely overwhelming and ridiculous.

Another idea to focus on if you are a western trend fanatic is your color scheme. To fully embrace the western world, also focus on rich colors, textures, and patterns. The fall 2016 pantones are very rich with pops of pastels. While there are many rich shades, Spicy Mustard is by far my favorite. Because this golden color is a prominent focal point in your outfit, it allows you to stand out more. Rather, who isn’t happy when they wear/see this beautiful shade? I found this chunky, cable-knit sweater while I was in Paris and immediately fell in love. Linked below are three of my favorites from Nordstrom and Urban Outfitters.

Furthermore, the next step is deciding a bottom piece. Since it is still the transitional period of fall, skirts are perfect with high boots. I found the sweater skirt I’m wearing over the summer at Urban Outfitters. Consequently, it is already sold out. Never fear because, I found some even better solutions at Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters. I’m currently obsessed with the textured fabrics. This brings in another rich element that harmonizes with the western theme so well. I will be purchasing some of these skirts I linked down below asap! No joke. Not to mention, I have found that Urban Outfitters seems to have the coolest velvet and corduroy mini skirts. This works out perfectly since, mini skirts are also on trend this fall. Finally, throw on a rich, vampy, fall lip color and you will be running this town all fall!
