5 Reasons Why You Need A Sleeveless Sweater This Fall

IMG_5918_

Waiting for the first day of fall, is like waiting for Christmas morning. To keep us busy until then, we load up on PSL’s (but really salted caramel lattes are where it’s at), fall scented candles, new booties and mules, and of course sweaters. It’s so anticipated that we throw ourselves into the new season before it’s even ready for us! Instead of waiting around for a miraculous cold front, I decided to take matters into my own hands. If you are ready to embrace the sweater weather with me right now, I’m sharing 5 reasons why you need a sleeveless sweater this fall!

Pure Snow || Black || Rich Earth

If you are new to Coming in Clutch, first of all, welcome! So glad you could stop by. Secondly, you should know that I have a major addiction to sweaters. In fact, if you have the same obsession, you should stick around! In order to not die from a heat stroke, I’ve found that the best way to rock a sweater in non-sweater weather is without the sleeves. I mean, we do have the right to bear arms… I was so happy to find out that one of my favorite sweater companies from Bali, Wooden Ships, had the most perfect option! Not only does it come in this gorgeous snow white color, but it also comes in black, and a brownish maroon shade. That’s when I started uncovering even more reasons why sleeveless sweaters should be an essential in everyone’s closet!

1. You Can Wear Them Now + Later!

Because there is less fabric, this is going to keep you much cooler during those end-of-the-summer days. Plus, it has side vents and larger arm holes, for a breezier feel. This gives you the perfect opportunity to show off one of your cute bralettes. Once it does start to get a little cooler, the lack of fabric on your arms is perfect for layering. That way your jacket sleeves won’t look so bulky, with all of that extra fabric that a normal sweater has.

2. You Can Style Them With Anything

They serve for all occasions! You can pair them with a mini skirt and boots, or you can rock them with your favorite mom jeans. Plus, their style is extremely versatile. If you want to edge it up, you can pair it with those faux leather leggings that you got at the Nsale. You can also style it with a flowy dress underneath, for a more boho feel. The limit does not exist when styling sleeveless sweaters. Once it get colder, you can even layer long sleeved tops underneath! I think this would look really cute with a plaid shirt layered underneath and some booties. Whether you are waiting on sweater weather or it’s in full affect, sleeveless sweaters come in clutch!

3. The Fall Twist On A Muscle Tank

This was a huge game changer for me! During the summer, all I wear are muscle tanks. I find them so incredibly comfortable, and they go with everything. In addition, they add an effortlessly cool touch to every look and they really flatter your arms. A sleeveless sweater is just the fall version of a muscle tank! You best believe, you will see me in this all season.

4. Comfort Is Always Key

It’s physically impossible to be uncomfortable in an oversized sweater, unless it’s itchy wool of course. This Wooden Ships sleeveless sweater is made of 60% cotton + 40% acrylic. This makes it super comfortable and cozy, without it being too hot. Plus, oversized is always so much more comfortable. With menswear elements being huge this fall, go for the oversized style!

5. They Are Effortlessly Luxurious

Just ask Ashley Olsen! I feel that this reason alone, should make sleeveless sweaters essential for this fall. Because it’s “a modern twist on the classic cable vest, it’s an effortlessly cool everyday luxury with it’s just-right slouch and easy cut.” Wooden Ships couldn’t have said it any better. With it’s sleek and minimalistic design, you feel instantly cooler just looking at it. Who doesn’t love to be comfy and luxurious at the same time?

Regardless if fall has started or not, doesn’t mean we have to wait around for sweater weather. To ease your fall fever, definitely check out this Wooden Ships’s Anika Cable Cowl Vest. Furthermore, check out their new fall collection! They even have a couple other oversized boyfriend sweaters, and some with statement sleeves! I’ve got my eye on this one. What are you looking forward to most this fall?

Oh my god, this is the cutest post. I’m kicking myself for not purchasing a sleeveless sweater this past weekend. Also, I couldn’t agree more with your statement about fall… I’m always waaaaay too excited for the first day of fall!

What great shots, Bryanna! I am super excited that you love our cotton vest. Anika has been a big seller. People really love the supremely soft cotton yarn we use and because it is a blend, it holds it shape without shrinking. Thanks for sending your followers to our website. As a small business, it is super appreciated! We have tons of great women’s knitwear that is designed with a chic-casual style and ethically produced in Bali. Big hug, xx Paola, designer & creative director

First of all – so glad I’m not the only one opting for the salted caramel mocha over the PSL haha! Secondly – I love this sleeveless sweater on you! The style is so effortless (definitely Olsen-esque) and so practical for early autumn when it’s not quite cool enough for a full-on parka yet haha! Love!

I love how you styled this sleeveless sweater! It looks so cute with the green pants, and this is a perfect fall transitional look. I need to add one to my wardrobe!
