We all know and love the athleisure trend that is so popular right now. Many people are taking this trend as an excuse to wear workout gear on an everyday basis, which I can dig. Cue the leggings! Although, I wanted to put a different spin on the trend for today. Instead of rocking clothes I would wear to the gym, I wanted to incorporate a fitness piece into my everyday wardrobe. Of course, this is all made possible by the lovely and killer brand, Calia by Carrie Underwood. The love for this brand is just too strong!
After my trying out my Calia by Carrie Underwood leggings a couple weeks ago, I knew it was time to grab a couple of other pieces to put the brand to the test. Nobody can really appreciate a one trick pony, am I right? When I got to Dick’s Sporting Goods, this droptail hoodie was calling my name. It’s so simple, but something about that extra thin layer of fabric and the rounded hem is just speaking to me. Plus, it was $10 off the original price. As a result, I purchase it and another top. Stay tuned, because it will be coming soon! Come to find out, it went on sale for 50% off ($27.50) the next day… In addition, there are couple other colors that I was not aware of. Not great for me, but such a steal for you all! Especially if you know her original prices. Let me further explain.

As I said before, this hoodie has the illusion of being a very basic sweatshirt. Minus the bottom, of course. When I put it to the test, a whole new experience happened. First off, it’s “Ultra-soft fleece fabric delivers a luxurious feel while also maximizing your warmth in cooler temperatures.” Secondly, it has “antimicrobial technology that inhibits odor-causing bacteria and with an incredibly resilient application directly on the fabric.” Basically it allows you to stay fresh all day. Not going to lie, it sounds a little too good to be true.
After I did this photoshoot, I took my dog for a walk. It was pretty chilly and my legs were actually a bit cold. Now, the upper half of my body was a different story. It kept me warm the entire time I was outside. The fleece inside is just pure magic! Plus, the fabric blend on the outside completely blocks the wind. I honestly was not expecting anything crazy to happen with this hoodie, but I was pleasantly surprised.

To dress up this Calia hoodie a bit, I paired it with some white, ripped jeans. This ones from AEO are by far my favorite pair of white jeans that I own. Fun fact: I accidentally dyed them pink in the wash… Such a sad day, but thank God for bleach! To add a more feminine touch, I thought these Topshop heels would be perfect! They of course are no longer available, but I found the Spring version of them from Sam Edelman (which I linked down below). They are more of a blue tint and are open-toed, which is perfect for the new season! As for my accessories, you can never go wrong with Quay Australia shades, some Kara Yoo stud earrings, a graphic crossbody and a bold lip. I was testing out this lip color as well and it does not move! It’s a liquid lipstick from RealHer, and I got it in my Boxycharm Box this month!
P.S. If you are wanting to try out a beauty subscription box, I highly suggest Boxycharm! I had no expectations for it at first, because I received it as a gift. I already went through my first three months, and I repurchased another six months! They include some incredible full sized products from brands such as Tarte, Makeup Geek, Ofra, Pür, Dr. Brandt, and Naked Cosmetics to name a few. For an overall value of over $100, you pay $21/month. You will thank me later.

Let’s be real you all. Sometimes we like to look cool and put together, but don’t feel like putting in the effort. This outfit is completely lazy-proof, and it’s all thanks to the Calia hoodie. If you haven’t checked out her line yet, I highly suggest it. Try this sweatshirt out as a trial run, since it is on sale. You can purchase her products at Dick’s Sporting Goods, or on her website. Plus, her new Spring line is coming soon! Regardless, definitely try out this twist on the athleisure trend. Incorporate one workout piece, and dress it up! Let me know how you like it and Happy Hump Day, everyone!

This hoodie sounds amazing! You need pieces like that in your wardrobe during March and April, when the weather is still a bit nippy! It’s so cute too, and how great it’s on sale! Girl, I’d totally ask for a price match if I were you! š

Ooooh, girl, you’ve put so many of my favorite things into this post. Looking cool without the effort is what I’m all about and although I’m not one who would even go to the grocery store in sweatpants I love making things simple. I also love how you give everything your own twist, just as you did with athleisure here. Do I even need to mention I love the hoodie? Haha. Love your outfit, Bryanna!
