It’s finally that time of year! The weather is getting colder, leaves are anticipating their descent and football is back in action. It’s still that awkward point in time though, as to know what exactly to wear to the game. Should I wear a t-shirt? Maybe I need a jacket? Can I still get away with sandals right now? The answer to all these questions is yes. In order to get through the seasonal changes, there are two tasks I suggest you master. Layering and transitioning. As long as you stick to these two concepts, you will obliterate the seasonal changes! They won’t even see you coming.
FIRST QUARTER
Start off the first quarter in your favorite game day t-shirt. It’s probably still a bit warm out to start off the game layering, so don’t put away those bright colored Birkenstocks yet!
SECOND QUARTER
Ease into the second quarter and throw on an oversized, denim shirt and your #1 sunglasses. Don’t be scared to layer on the denim either, because the Canadian tuxedo just caught an interception!
THIRD QUARTER
As the weather gets cooler and the game intensifies, add a kickin’ vest to your look. Guarantee you’ll gain an extra point from that punt.
FOURTH QUARTER
This last quarter is for all the marbles. In order to come out with the win, layer a chunky knit sweater over the rest of the outfit. This takes your fourth down to a first down in no time.
Think of it like this. The layering is the quarterback and the transitioning is the receiver. Each piece you add on is part of the team and the win won’t happen without everyone in action. Grab a leather tote to throw all your layers in and you’re ready to take the field. There’s no turning back now! You’ve been thunderstruck.
