I have some exciting news guys! It’s finally College Fashion Week in Chicago! The great news doesn’t stop there. I will be attending for Her Campus Media as press to cover the shows! I would try to act cool about this, but I’m too excited! I have loved being a part of the Her Campus Media family, so when they asked me to attend College Fashion Week in Chicago I couldn’t contain myself! I will try to bring it down a notch to explain myself…
This year is especially exciting, because Her Campus is celebrating five years of College Fashion Week! College Fashion Week is a platform that brings together the nation’s most fashion-obsessed collegiettes to celebrate fashion as a form of self-expression. This year is all about showcasing top talent from up-and-coming female entrepreneurs and designers. The designers that will be presenting on Saturday are My Social Canvas, Foray, Ali & Ariel, Frill Clothing, and Bow & Drape.
Who wouldn’t want to attend College Fashion Week? If you would like to partake in the celebration, just follow this link to purchase tickets. Let me know if you attend, because I would love to meet up and chat! I’m also in love with the fact that this show is in Chicago. Every since I was little, Chicago has always had a special place inside my heart. On October 15th from 6:00-9:00PM, College Fashion Week will take place at 1st Ward located on 2033 West North Avenue.
College Fashion Week would not be possible without the help of the six incredible sponsors. Rebecca Minkoff brings the edge to apparel, handbags, jewelry and accessories. Vince Camuto conveys versatility and style for the everyday Girlboss. Fitbit allows for our entrepreneurial-self to remain fit and healthy, despite our busy schedules. Drybar supports our busy schedules and makes sure that our hair is always flawless. Bertha Watches keeps us organized and never running late. Last but not least, Perfumania regulates our hard-working bodies and maintains our cleanliness and always smelling delightful. With this powerful and successful lineup, you know that College Fashion Week is going to be amazing.
To get in the spirit, I figured I would style a comfortable, college look with the help from some of the sponsors. Remaining stylish on campus is all about comfort and versatility. All the while, it’s especially important to remain on trend. Chunky sweaters, mini skirts, and camo are extremely popular trends this fall. To add some accessibility, this Rebecca Minkoff backpack allows for you to throw what you need for class in a bag in a convenient and stylish way. These Vince Camuto oxfords allow you to walk all over campus, while remaining comfortable and chic. Incorporating oxfords takes different twist on the ever popular booties, but as a result, brings more attention. You can’t tell, but I smell really good as well thanks to Perfermania. I hope to see you at College Fashion Week in Chicago this Saturday and comment down below your favorite thing about college fashion!
