I’m not sure where you live, but last night was the first snow fall of the season in Cincinnati! Maybe this year will actually be a white Christmas. As this episode of return of the snow is debuting, the temperatures are dropping dramatically. At this point, I just want my whole wardrobe to consist of just turtlenecks and all things snuggly. I’ve got you covered, though! With the help of my aunt, I present to you the closet gem of the season- The Cape!
When I received this turtleneck cape for my birthday, needless to say I was ecstatic. To add to the thrill, it’s made by UGG! Not going to lie, the past year I’ve been completely over the UGG boot deal. Although, they are quickly starting to turn around this year, and they have been putting out some amazing stuff. With this turning out to be a pretty cold winter, I’m starting to have some second opinions on the brand. Coach was the comeback kid earlier this year and now I feel UGG is in the running for the winter. If you’re still on the hunt for the perfect Christmas present, I’ve picked out my top picks for you guys!
To add some more holiday cheer, I wanted to challenge myself to wear green and red together. Usually if green and red is worn together, it comes off a little ridiculous. Although, around this time of year that’s the thing. The easiest way I figured out to rock red and green, was to infuse a non-festive print into the outfit. Since camo has been continuing its popularity, I thought this was the perfect solution. As for the red, I figured a more muted and maroon shade would get the job done flawlessly. This marsala color just adds the perfect amount of chicness to the look.
Instead of going for the typical black (which is the easiest way out), I wanted to incorporate some brown tones into the mix. I must admit, brown is a bit outside my comfort zone. Although, I’m starting to find that it’s a more classic and sophisticated way to represent a neutral. I pulled the brown in from my socks, my shades, and my makeup for this look! I bought these Marc Jacobs shades two summers ago on vacation, but I found similar Ray Ban and Quay Australia pairs if you’re in the market for some new sunnies.
As for the makeup, you need this Dose of Colors Liquid Matte Lipstick in Cork! It is the perfect brown/nude shade for the holidays. I bought a caramel mocha at Starbucks that day and it was a complete dupe. For the eyes, I just tried out the Melt Cosmetics Rust Stack. It’s constantly sold out, but I can see why. My mom has had her eyes on this stack for ages and the colors are just so beautiful and versatile. Plus, Melt Cosmetics has amazing quality shadows and genius packaging, so if you can get your hands on this stack… consider it a Christmas present.
Speaking of Christmas, I realize I have been epically failing with #Clutchmas… My plan was to post my actual outfit of the day till Christmas, but I think I’m going to switch it up a bit. From here on out till Christmas, I vow to post some sort of Christmas inspiration on my Instagram for you guys via #Clutchmas. I give everyone who is participating in blogmas/vlogmas/holiday gift guides mad props. I now understand the planning that needs to go down to execute this kind of deal. Anyways, expect some holiday inspiration coming your way and may the present hunting be ever in your favor!

Ahh no way! Such a small world. Seriously though, so glad UGG is stepping up their game lately!
So cool that Ugg made this cape! I love it and I am obsessed with your shoes too!!!
That cape! Those boots! Loving all of these pieces!
We had a little bit of snow here this weekend too!! This cape looks so snuggly! I am with you on UGG… I’ve always thought their products are tacky-looking and not at all stylish. But I too have been impressed with what they have put out this year!!

This cape is super cute babe! I love the color of it and the style! Super comfy! I live in Los Angeles so no snow here! I do miss it though! However, the weather here is too nice!

Right?! I had no idea till my aunt bought it for me for my birthday! It’s so comfortable so, I’m for sure going to keep my eye on them.
I absolutely love the construction of this cape and that it’s more like a cape/sweatshirt than your typical knit. The red & green with a dose of camo is just perfect!
