A Message From The Moto Jacket

It’s back to the grind for those of you who were off yesterday for MLK Jr. Day. I hope it was spent relaxing or doing something that you love. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I have a Dream” speech is all about accomplishing the impossible and pursuing what you believe in, no matter how many no’s you get. I spent my day doing four photoshoots and I’m so glad I spent it doing what I love and believe in. CIC is a place I can come to and distract myself from not having a job yet. It’s the place where I can come to socialize with you, who has a passion for fashion just as much as I do. I hope his message can relate back to you in some way and can drive some motivation to do what you love.

With this message in mind, I really wanted to send a message back. You should always wear what you feel amazing in. Therefore, style your outfits how you want to. In the end, nobody has room to judge anyone’s creativity. It’s an art form and everyone has their own tastes and perspectives. As a result, I wanted to wear what I love most and it all starts with this mustard, boucle, moto jacket. Nothing makes me happier than a bad-a$$ moto jacket and this mustard color. I received this Anthropologie jacket for Christmas when it full priced… yes this was an insanely generous gift. Apparently though, everyone else loved this jacket just as much as I did. It not only went on sale, but is already sold out… It hasn’t even been a month yet!

I also noticed that boucle, moto jackets in general are very popular right now. I looked at a bunch of different stores and could only find a handful of them that haven’t already sold out. I’ve linked those options down below and there is a variety of different price options. Furthermore, my favorite dupe that I found is this Forever 21 jacket (here). Not only is it the exact same silhouette of the jacket I have, but it is in a back and grey speckled color that is much more universal. In addition, it’s on sale for $39.99! Such a steal!

Finally, wrap up your outfit with your favorite accessories. Recently, I have accrued a bit of a Rebecca Minkoff purse collection… This saddle bag is just the perfect bag to make a statement and to remain timeless. Plus, it is a rather large bag, so it can hold all of your stuff! Although, the same issue with the moto jacket occurred…  Consequently, this apple red color is already sold out! Holiday sales really wiped people out! Although, this black cherry color is still available and might work better for you!

Another fun way to incorporate some uniqueness is to add some fun pins! Mine are from Saks Off 5th, but I have found that ASOS, Tees and Tank You, and Nordstrom Rack have the best selection of pins. I’ve actually been loving this new trend so much, because you can really cater your pins toward your personality. Finally, just take my word for this next piece. Although Martin Luther King Jr. was not talking about style in his speech, he was motivating everyone to pursue what they believe and love. Take this message and incorporate it into your life, whether it’s in your style or your personal beliefs. I hope he provided a new outlook to your life for 2017 and I hope that you continue to wear what you love, regardless of the publics’ opinion.
