Top 10 Drugstore Products You Need Today

Top 10 Drugstore Products You Need Today

Some beauty products come and go, but there are only a few that make the cut for daily use. We tend to cater towards these holy grail products, because we have found them to work on our specific skin types, and they always come in clutch. When you think about it, how many of your go-to, everyday products are drugstore? I was surprised to discover that most of mine are drugstore (and thank the Lord, because my wallet would literally hate me). Instead of focusing on those hyped up, high-end products, today I wanted to give you the behind the scenes look of what I use on my body EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

Let’s start from the top, shall we!

1. It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-in Product

Every time I get out of the shower, I use two hair products. One of them is this, It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-in Product. It’s “claim” is said to do 10 things instantly. I’m not entirely sure if they all get checked off the list, but nobody has time for that! Just let this legit miracle product work its magic. Not only does it repair, controls frizz, detangle, improve shine, and smoothen, but it also works as a thermal protectant. Perfect for the summer days after the pool! My hair stylist always says I have such healthy hair, and I owe it all to this product.

2. L’Oréal Advanced Hairstyle AIR DRY IT Wave Swept Spray

I’ve always been on the hunt for a wavy hair spray, that didn’t leave my hair feeling crunchy or greasy. This is easier said than done. Then L’Oréal came out with this new “Air Dry It” line. All I have to say is that they hit the nail on the head! The line couldn’t be more straight forward, and it’s foolproof for us lazy hair doers. Personally, styling my hair is my least favorite part of getting ready. Anything that can simplify this process is my new BFF. My favorite from the line is the Wave Swept Spray, and I use this every time I get out of the shower in conjunction with the It’s A 10 product. No only does it work, but it leaves my hair feeling so soft and effortlessly beachy. If you don’t believe me, try it out for yourself! Did I mention it smells like a tropical paradise?

3. Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Scrub

I have to be honest. I am a recent fan of Soap & Glory, but I don’t know what I was doing with my life before them. My mom actually picked up this body scrub for me earlier this year, and it changed my whole shaving routine. After I am completely done shaving, I’ll douse myself in this yummy scrub. I’m telling you, I don’t even have to use a lotion after. This is ground breaking with my dry skin! They even have a french toast smelling one that is going to be perfect for the fall! SO BASIC.

4. Trader Joe’s Coconut Body Butter

You know that Brazilian Bum Bum Cream that’s been everywhere on the gram? Well, I found almost an exact dupe for it! Not only does it have the same delicious scent and texture, but it’s literally a fourth of the price! I can’t tell you how many of these tubs I’ve gone through, and I don’t plan on stopping. Trader Joe’s has struck gold! Save your money and get your hands on my of this.

5. Neutrogena Rapid Clear Daily Pads

My skin is technically considered combination. It can get oily in my t-zone, but it’s pretty dry everywhere else. Not to toot my own horn, but I’d like to say I have pretty decent skin. With that being said though, my huge problem is the hormonal and bacterial zits! They are my worst nightmare. Nothing annoys me more that have clear skin, with one GIANT zit on my chin (don’t rest your hands on your face, people). I have tried every type of pad in the book, but non of them get me like Neutrogena does. It get’s in there, cleans the poop out of my skin, and it maintains my zits immensely! I’m super religious about these pads, and I even use them twice a day (once when I wake up, and once when I got to bed). If you have the same issue, check these out.

6. The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil

To follow up with this acne prone problem, my zit killing sidekick is tea tree oil! I know it doesn’t work for everyone, so be cautious. If you have combination, acne-prone skin, I would definitely give this a go. Not only do I use it everyday, but I use it multiple times in a day. Sometimes, I will add a few drops onto a Q-tip, and spot treat with it. Other times, I like to mix it in with my daily moisturizer. For me, it’s just an added protection from those pesky zits that love me so.

7. Simple Replenishing Rich Facial Moisturizer

To follow up, the Simple Replenishing Moisturizer is what I use in conjunction with the tea tree oil. Again, I’ve been around the block with moisturizers and this Simple one has proven to be the most effective. Like it states, it’s just simple! Sometimes, that’s all you really need in a moisturizer. I use to use the Aveeno one, but it started to break me out. Because this Simple moisturizer isn’t as thick, I think this really combats the zits much better.

8. Burt’s Bees Lip Balm

My main B(ee) for life! See what I did there? Anyways, everyone always has their holy grail lip balm. Almost every bag I own has at least one of these guys in there. For me, it’s always been Burt’s Bees. The minty, tingly sensation really allows me to feel the beeswax actually working on my lips, and it’s amazing. If you are allergic to mint, this is clearly not the option for you. Although, they do have other flavors. I just saw they came out with a Coconut + Pear flavor, so I’m on the hunt to try that one out.

9. L’Oréal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation

This is a semi new product for me, but foundation in general is a new experience for me. Although, this is the exact reason why I love this foundation so much. It’s said to be a medium coverage, but the texture is so light. It feels even lighter than my Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer! Like it says, it’s a very radiant and dewy formula. This is the perfect foundation for when I want just a bit more coverage, but I don’t want it to look like I’m wearing foundation. Plus, it leaves your skin looking so fresh and healthy for the summer.

10. Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer

It’s a cult favorite, what can I say. Sometimes, products are just that good. I’m sure you all either have or have heard about this bronzer a billion times, so I won’t bore you too much. It’s just the perfect shade to add to your already bronzed skin, and it leaves you smelling like coconuts all day long. Who doesn’t want that all summer?

And there we have it! These are my top 10 most used, and most loved drug store products. If you are missing a piece to your daily skincare puzzle, definitely give these a try. Just make sure to do your research as well, because we all have different skin types. What are some of your holy grail drugstore products? I’d love to check them out!

I’m thinking I need to take a trip to the drugstore now. I’m a huge drugstore product-lover (typically more than high end)! I really want to try ALL of these products now, but especially the body scrub, tea tree oil, and butter bronzer. I’ve heard so many amazing reviews on the butter bronzer, and just Physician’s Formula in general – they’ve really upped their game since I was in high school haha – so it needs to be added to my list!

Oh my goodness, you will love the Butter Bronzer! It’s basically a high end bronzer with a drug store price tag. It’s magical. The body scrub is a shaving game changer. It almost makes me like shaving… crazy I know! The Tea Tree oil has become a life line for me. That’s how good it is! Although, idk why it doesn’t work for some skin types. Sometimes drug store products just get it better than high-end does. It’s kinda sad that they don’t get the recognition they deserve!

What a helpful list! I’ll look out for these next time at the store. I’m glad you mentioned the facial pads, too. I’m super guilty of always touching my face and I’d like to keep something around that cleanses my skin and does a little more than makeup removing wipes. I can’t wait to try some of these products!

Yes! Everyone always wants something gentle, and I’m like bring on the tough stuff! I want something that actually works haha. Glad I’m not the only one!

YOU NEED TO! It literally saved my hair. WhenI was younger, I completely fried my hair. Every since that incident, I have religiously used it. Now my hair is the best it’s ever been! Such a holy grail product. Let me know how you like it!

      xoxo Bryanna
