If you read my last post, you will realize that this week is a week dedicated to shoes. There’s something about shoes that really just tell a story and complete your entire outfit. They explain what you’re up to for the day, the mood that you’re in, and the adventures you have previously had while wearing them. They say to “walk a mile in her shoes” and maybe we should. We never know what’s going on in people’s lives behind closed doors, so we should really take the time to learn. While this was not intended to be a metaphorical post, I wanted to really express some things that I have learned about shoes for this season. Without further ado, I present the top eight pairs of shoes for Spring!
I don’t know about you, but I’ve had the same pair of Adidas, velcro slides for years. In fact, I’ve had them for so long that they no longer fit. The sad thing is, that didn’t stop me from wearing them. Although, a new pair that my mom bought me for Valentine’s Day does. I couldn’t be happier that she did, though. The fact that these are Vans just makes me so incredibly happy. Fun fact: If I were to only have one pair of shoes for the rest of my life, they would be Vans. That’s how much I love them! If you’re interested, I linked a bunch of different styles to choose from that will suit your preferences. Whether you just need to take the dog out in the morning, a flip flop for the pool, or last minute errand shoes, these slides are the key to happiness.
When it comes to gym shoes, I’m that crazy person that actually uses their shoes for working out. MIND BLOWN. Also, I tend to stick to one pair until they become worn out and gross. I know how much everyone likes to wear gym shoes for every occasion, so I decided that I might like to try out this way of life. Plus, Nordstrom and Nike knew I was going to be needing a cool, bright pair. This year Nike is celebrating 30 years of Nike Airs, and came out with a collection dedicated to Nordstrom. You guys, I’m obsessed with the collection and specifically this pair! You need to go check it out, but just beware. It’s only online, so don’t go trying to shop them in person like I did…
I knew this trend was big, but I didn’t know just how big it was. It wasn’t till I was shopping for some options for you all, that I realized just how popular it was. Whether it’s a mule, a sandal, a slide, a sneaker, or an oxford hybrid like mine, you have to snag yourself at least one pair of these shoes for Spring + Summer. It’s such a fresh twist to the white sneaker and the sunlight even likes it too! Talk about a fun statement!
The lace-up trend has been around for awhile and there are no signs of it stopping! From lace-up tops, to legging details, to shoes, this trend is on fire! Whenever you are needing to amp up your outfit just a bit, a pair of lace-up shoes will do just the trick. This pair in particular goes with everything and adds the perfect feminine touch to every outfit. Plus, I never would have thought they would be this comfortable. If I were you, I would hurry up and snag a pair before the run out. They are currently 75% off and marked at $29.99! If you aren’t digging the black, they also come in a nude. People, just go buy these right now! They are only $59.95, which believe me is a steal! I took these sandals along with three other sets to the West coast, and only wore one other pair. Not only does it jazz up a simple outfit, but it matches just about everything. With the boho, music festival style back in action, you are going to be obsessed with these! Plus, they are surprisingly super comfy, despite their super flat bottoms. I still don’t understand that part. You all will thank me later. though. By far my favorite pair of shoes for Spring!
Mules are everywhere this season! When I saw this pair, they reminded me of my beloved Topshop, silver booties that I wore everywhere. Yes, I realize these mules are not silver. Although during NYFW, the same booties in both silver + white were being styled by almost every influencer out there. As we move into warmer weather (I could be lying…), we are going to be needing a new option that won’t sweat our feet out. Cue the solid colored mules! Seriously, just add more fabric to the heel and toe and you have that bootie! I’m particularly fond of the white mules, because it resembles a fresh clean slate for the new season. Plus, it will literally go with everything in your closet. No joke.
Finally, a heel I can walk in! You guys know how obsessed I am with this golden yellow color. When I saw them, I knew they would be the perfect pair of shoes for Spring. I realize that some of you won’t really vibe with this color, but it is surprisingly a very underrated, versatile color. It’s almost like brighter nude. Almost. If you still aren’t digging it, this particular sandal come in four other colors. Furthermore, the heel just makes the shoe that much better. On those nights you want to dress up a bit, but still want to be able to walk- these shoes are going to be your saving grace. Although, this block heel is by far the biggest trend that I’m seeing in heels for this season, so I would definitely stock up. Some range in heights, but all come in clutch.

These shoes are crazy out there, I know. Although, we all need to make a statement everyonce in awhile. Am I right? Sometimes, things need to be spiced up. When I got these shoes, I was envisioning wearing them with some distressed, white denim. I thought they would look super cool, and would be a different twist to the typical floral print. Regardless, the power of a statement shoe allows you to put less effort into your clothes. If that doesn’t win you over, I don’t know what will.
