Spring Clean Your Mind And Jumpstart Positive Vibes

I realize I am at fault for only putting up only one blog post last week. Although, I have a reason to back up my fault. I had this idea in my head of jumpstarting your mind of positive vibes, because quite frankly the world of blogging and social media can be quite vicious. Not to mention, all the other problematic things happening in your life. It just never seems to let up, but that’s how life goes I guess. Spring is all about starting fresh. Whether it’s starting a new job, moving into a new place, or just starting life with a clean and fresh slate; it’s a time to clean. Hence, the term spring cleaning. Instead of actually cleaning out your home, today is all about cleaning out your mind. What better day of the week to talk about this, than at the beginning of the week? Without further ado, let’s get cleaning!

Step 1: Slam Dunk Your Junk

When your place gets dirty, what’s the first thing you do? You clean it! So step one is to clean out your mind. How might you do this? By venting. Get it all out! Whether you talk to your parents, your boyfriend, your best friend, or you just right it all out, get it out of your mind. All of it! It’s the only way to make room for the positive vibes to enter. P.S. if you can name the kids show  “Slam Dunk Your Junk” is from, you just got a virtual cookie!

Step 2: Get Inspired

Ask yourself, what are you inspired by? For me, I’m inspired by a lot of things. Whether it’s art, nature, traveling, music, books, fashion, magazines, sports, you name it! Everything is a creative process, and I always get inspired by those processes. To get the creative juices flowing, utilize all these inspirational sources. Take a long walk or drive, listen to an audio book (cue audible.com) , browse through some blogs or magazines, find some knew Youtube channels that you like. The limit does not exist! To help get you going:

Audio books: You are a Badass, Girl Code, #Girlboss, The Universe Has Your BackThe Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ckCrush It!, #AskGaryVeeBe Obsessed or Be Average

Podcasts: Girlboss Radio, How I Built This, Rookie, From The Heart, Ted Radio Hour, That’s So Retrograde, Not Too Deep With Grace Helbig, Side Hustle Pro

Blogs: Atlantic Pacific, Song of Style, Sea of Shoes, Sincerely Jules, WeWoreWhat

Yourtube Channels: Kalyn Nicholson, Jamie Paige, Brianna Fox, Ashley Brooke, Evelina, InTheFrow, KathleenLights, Gemary

Step 3: Figure Out Your Turning Point

Once you know your breaking point like the back of your hand, then you can learn to train yourself to not reach that point. For me, it’s when the little things add up. When that happens, I always know to take a nap. haha. Naps cure everything! To prevent it in the future, I need to learn when to walk away. Maybe for you it’s procrastinating, your pet peeves, specific people, just any pivotal moments that trigger negative thoughts. Really dig deep in order to fully understand when your positive vibes flip to negative vibes.

Step 4: Change Up Your Routines

I know many of you run off of a routine. It’s what keeps you in order and diverging from this path is a no-go. That’s not what I’m advising, though. My point is to slightly switch it up. For example, maybe incorporate a walk into your morning routine, or do your makeup in front a window instead of your bathroom mirror. Change the layout of your room. Sometimes, your life needs a change without you even realizing it. Little tweaks to your daily routines can jumpstart creativity faster.

Step 5: Have A Backup Plan

Yes, I realize I just suggested you to switch up your settings and routines. At the same time, always have a go-to setting or place that is full-proof and will always make you happy. For example, whenever I feel super stressed out, I go to the gym and blast my favorite music in my headphones. Sometimes I go for a car ride and blast some music, or I go for a walk and again tunes are always a must. I guess the silver lining for me, is music.

Step 6: Be Patient

This is by far the hardest step for me. When we start something new, we always want to see results immediately. Rome was not built in a day though, so we must always try to remain patient. It may take some time, but never give up. This is especially relevant with blogging. Unless you pay for your following, an audience is not built overnight. Although, sometimes it can grow immensely in a night… Regardless, stay in your own lane and try not to compare yourself to others. Everyone’s path to success is a different process, so be open and willing to wait for yours. To keep you busy while you wait, always hustle. Never stop being obsessed with what you do.

Step 7: Make It A Habit

Do or do not, there is no try. Again, the famous Yoda strikes back! If you make positive thinking an option, it will always remain as an option. Be on your toes and immediately banish those negative thoughts from your mind.

Step 8: Go Big, Or Go Home

Always have big dreams. If you aim small, that’s all you will ever get. Reach for the stars, because it’s amazing what you can accomplish when you put your (positive) mind to it. Always keep on dreaming, and keep those people in your life that believe in you no matter what. Sometimes, a support team is what keeps you going.

Step 9: Look The Part

I know they say to never judge a book by it’s cover, but this is where most of the negativity comes from. People continue to judge people on their looks, regardless of the standard. As a blogger, most of my time is spent at home on the computer. Sweats are a must, because we are in nobody’s presence, but our own. Just because we don’t interact with people at home, doesn’t mean we still can’t dress for success. Cue the Jumper Threads Jump Pants! They are not your average sweatpants. From their ninja stretch to mesh vents, or their water resistant fabric to their anti-static properties; Jumper Threads is all about the details. Plus, the more you wear them, the more they shape to your body. I’m obsessed! Be sure to check out the “most successfully crowdfunded active sweatpants project in history.” Here’s their launch video for more demonstrations.

With the help of these tips and Jumper Threads Jump Pants, I know we can kick negative thoughts to the curb. It’s time to take Spring cleaning to a deeper level! Let me know some of the different tactics you take when trying to spring clean your thoughts and definitely be sure to check out these killer sweat pants.

Looking the part is one of the best pieces of advice in here that can be applied to many of the other categories as well. I personally struggle with being patient too and things should have happened two days ago already if you ask me… but some things take time and we need to keep a positive mindset going. It’s always good to do a seasonal cleaning to set new goals, see what you’ve actually achieved and then contemplate which ones were good and which ones you can skip. šŸ™‚

Loved all of these tips girl! It is easy to get burnt out or discouraged, but doing these things will help that! I’m also bad at being patient, but you’re so right! We all have our own paths!
