Slay the Suit

With the three, biggest weeks of Men’s Fashion Shows coming to a close, I figured a tribute was in order. For the month of January, menswear collections were showcased around Europe. From London, to Milan, to Paris, trends for menswear for the Fall/Winter 2016-2017 were released. In honor of all the commotion, I wanted to create my own menswear look and it was inspired by one of my favorites, Nick Wooster. He is clearly the big man in town.

Each day as I grow older, the nights are getting colder. In order to keep warm with this confusing weather, layering is key. What’s new though. I can’t get enough of layering! To ease into this menswear deal, it’s good to start off with what you know. Denim is the common staple to everyone’s wardrobe. End of story. Why not layer on the denim and rock the Canadian suit? It’s the perfect way to create an androgynous look. Let’s be honest; boy’s clothes are comfy. Am I right?

Now I’m sure you are all thinking “Who the heck is Nick Wooster?” Kansas born and New York raised, Nick Wooster is the perfect example of a rare breed. After mastering the art of styling menswear, he is now consulting for a handful of global brands. At the same time, he is taking over the digital world with a compelling following on social media. He has his finger on the pulse when it comes to finding a unique and distinctive style. From camouflage button-downs to furry hats, Nick Wooster knows how to flawlessly combine insanity to make reality. You will thank me later for the introduction.

Life is ludicrous, but it’s all real. Get inspired by the men in the fashion world and put your own twist to it. Throw a bandana on and fasten it with a pin. Deck yourself out in 50 shades of denim and call it a suit. Wear fingerless gloves in two foot of snow, New Yorkers. Brave the the crazy and be the big man in town. Oh I’m gonna make it, just wait and see.
