Ode To Nashville | The Power Of Western Style

Do you ever travel to a new city and immediately connect with it? Everything about it just speaks to your soul. The food, the style, the atmosphere and everything in between just meshes so well with your esthetic. It’s like you’ve been there your whole life! Growing up in Northern Kentucky, I’ve kinda had the best of both worlds. Not only do I get to experience the city, but the country vibes keep me grounded. After traveling to Nashville a couple weekends ago, I couldn’t help but feel a connection with the city. The only other time I’ve had this connection with a place (in the United States), is Chicago. Granted it still holds the top spot, but I forgot how nice it is to experience this love again. With a strong connection, inspiration always follows. Let’s just classify this as an ode to Nashville.

The great thing about western style is it’s ability to transition seamlessly from season to season. There really isn’t a time of the year to not rock it. Am I right? Specifically during this Spring, booties have been trending majorly. Especially ones that are perforated or peep toed! Regardless, there needs to be some sort of opening, so that we don’t sweat our feet out. That would be dreadful. I really loved the look of these Born booties, because they resembled that of a cowboy boot. What a perfect representation of Nashville! Springtime booties are the perfect way to really add a tough edge to your look. If you are in the market to snag some for yourself, I’ve linked a bunch that are on sale for Memorial Day Weekend! This is the perfect time to take advantage of those reduced costs.

Mixing and highs and lows is my way of life. So pairing these Born booties with this Free People dress was the perfect fit for me. I’m down to wear a flowy dress, but usually you won’t find me styling it with girly heels. Gotta have a balance. As I said earlier, western style is super transitional. This is 100% why I love this dress so much. It’s perfect for the Spring, because of it’s sleeves for added warmth on those chilly days. Because it’s white, this automatically makes it excellent to style in the Summer. Throw on a leather jacket and some OTK boots and you are ready to rock it this Fall! The only season it really isn’t perfect for is the Winter, but it is still doable. No matter the season, this dress comes in clutch! It also comes in five other color ways.

To finish off the styling, I’ve noticed that tan accessories are super in style for the Spring and Summer. With lighter colored pieces of clothing, the tan accessories really allow for the colors to pop. Take this outfit for example. This dress has some really beautiful, embroidery with pops of orange, blue, and purple. Because I styled it with my new favorite Rebecca Minkoff crossbody, it really makes the orange stitching pop. Thank the Lord for Rebecca Minkoff Sample Sales! I snagged this one last month, and have been using it everyday since. The fringe and silver hardware really bring a western feel to the bag. If you missed the Sample Sale, I am always giving updates on the latest sales on my IG story. With the long weekend ahead, I’m ready to go back to Nashville! Although, I know finding a hotel or Airbnb last minute is going to be next to impossible. In the mean time, I’ll just keep channeling it through my new love of western style. Are you going anywhere fun this weekend? Maybe Nashville? Take me with you, if you are! If not, I have a couple tips and tricks for you on how to slay while traveling. If you haven’t checked out my last post, we are talking all ways to defying tourist stereotypes. I absolutely love the pattern of the dress especially because it’s not an all over print. Also the fringe/tassel detail on your bag is gorgeous, I haven’t seen anything like it before!
