Lacey Lilac | An Easter With The Mint Julep Boutique

Spring is usually that metaphorical point in the year to reboot life. It’s a time to get a fresh start and to be absolved from previous problems at the beginning of the year. Flowers are blooming and warmer weather is hopefully still in view. Keep your fingers crossed on that one… In addition, wedding season is around the corner and Easter is already this weekend! I’m not really sure how that “hopped” up so fast. With that being said, I know that some more dressed up pieces are going to be needed in the next couple of months (or days) and I have found the perfect boutique to help us out! Whether you are shopping for a last minute Easter outfit, a couple of dresses for some upcoming weddings, or simply just a cute party outfit, look no further! The Mint Julep Boutique has got you covered!

If you are a southern girl or simply just like adorable dresses, you are going to fall in love with The Mint Julep Boutique. Just think of all-american girl meets modern trends. While I was taking a peek at their website, I noticed that they have a lot of lacey pieces that are very Self Portrait inspired. As you probably already know, Self Portrait is very well known for their lacey fabrications, structured silhouettes, and nude illusions. Anyways, since I never jumped on that “nude lining with a lace overlay” train, I knew this was the perfect time to do so! Plus, they have so many cute options! I’ve linked my top 15 lace dresses from the boutique and all you have to do is click on the picture, if you are interested in checking them out.

As soon as I saw this lacey lilac dress, I knew I needed to have it. It reminds me of one of my favorite homecoming dresses, and has a fun and flirty feel to it. I can be girly every once in awhile! Anyways, when it comes to these kinds of dresses, a statement necklace is always an accessory that I gravitate towards. With a simple canvas and an exciting event, it’s the perfect time to whip them out! Am I right? I got this necklace from J.Crew, and the blush pink tied in so well with the pastel purple. If you check out J.Crew Factory, they have a bunch of similar ones, but they are a fraction of the cost! To keep on the pastel theme, this Rebecca Minkoff crossbody is the perfect bag to keep your essentials in; aka your lipstick, phone, ID, and credit card.

When it comes to the shoes, I really didn’t want to distract from the dress. A nude pair of sandals would have been just as cute, but you know me. The monochromatic way of styling is the life for me! These purple, Rebecca Minkoff heels just matched so perfectly to the dress and I couldn’t resist. Finally, I threw on a pair of Mui Mui sunglasses with lightly-colored lenses and a pop of baby pink on the lips. By the way, if you haven’t checked out Clinique’s line of Pop (Matte) Lip Colours, you need too! One of my new favorite lipstick formulas for the Spring! They feel like a lipstick, but stay on like a lip stain. It’s the perfect combo.

Regardless of the occasion, definitely give The Mint Julep Boutique a try! I’m so glad that I got my hands on this dress, and I’m even looking to snag a couple more! That rose-colored, lace romper in the first section is on my radar. It looks almost identical to this one from Socialite and it’s more affordable! In addition, if you sign up for their e-mails, you receive $10 off on your first order! I mean, we gotta save where we can. Furthermore, I hope you all have a delightful Easter and stay tuned for a Coachella inspired look on Friday!

Lilac is a color that doesn’t suit everyone, but looks really good on you and I’m glad you kept it monochrome and paired the dress with shoes in the same color too! And you’re right, that’s totally the all-American girl next door meets the latest trends so what a great place to shop! šŸ™‚
