In the summer, the idea is to attract attention in a nonchalant way. You want to show off that golden bronzed skin you have, but you don’t want it to appear that you are trying too hard. There’s a couple of different ways to accomplish this mission:
- Create an effortless look with a focal point
- Add an asymmetrical piece to your outfit to draw the crowd’s eyes in
- Have a simple base, but get creative with your accessories
- Incorporate an unexpected length to the season
Well lucky for you, Anthropologie has made it extremely easy to accomplish all of these points in a single piece. This dress allows you to easily create an effortless look, but the midi length and the asymmetrical gather still add a subtle punch that will keep the people interested. I have had this dress for maybe two weeks and I can’t seem to get tired of wearing it! Not only is it cute and chic, but it’s so comfortable with the cotton fabric.
To further the effortless vibes, I styled the dress in a very boho manner. From the arm cuff to the gladiator sandals, the accessories really pulled in the the entire look. Not to mention the beachy hair… I realize the sunnies and the necklaces aren’t exactly very boho inspired, but they are up the street style alley. By combining boho and street style accessories, you create a more modern interpretation of the boho trend. Not only are you innovative and creative, but you accessorize the dress in an easy and interesting way. Who knows, maybe street style boho trends will be popping up soon!
