Furry, Flirty, & Thriving | My Favorite Faux Fur Pieces Under $100

When it comes to a winter wardrobe, it can get kind of expensive. Coats are pricey, boots are an arm and a leg, and my obsession with sweaters sure doesn’t save me any money. It can also get a little harder to incorporate some color into the mix, because quite frankly it’s hard to feel happy with gloomy weather. I’ve found that the best and easiest way to incorporate color into your winter wardrobe is to fluff it up a bit. That’s right; we are bringin’ in the faux fur balls for some reinforcements! Today, I’m sharing my favorite faux fur pieces under $100, and how to style them!

NYFW is coming up in the next weekish (2/8), and it got me thinking. NYFW is the time to really show off your personal style, and it’s the perfect time to really get creative with your styling. During the spring (or Fall NYFW), you can definitely say that faux fur is a very popular option. It’s just that good! Not only can you glam up any outfit x10, but it’s super easy to add a pop of color. If you’re like me and only live in color, it’s the perfect time to really experiment with color theory. Although, why is this only catered towards NYFW? Start incorporating some colorful, faux fur into your wardrobe now!

On a quick side note, I really I’m late to the game for putting out some NYFW prep content. If you have any questions, comments, honest opinions, please feel free to reach out to me! I’m an open book, and would love to give you some clarity. You can also check out this post that I created and last NYFW, that briefly goes over all the shenanigans. When dealing with faux fur, it can be a bit daunting. It’s a bit poofy, dramatic, and not ideal for everyday use. This doesn’t mean it can’t be. My first option is to start off with some faux fur accessories. This season, stoles and scarves have been a huge hit. I got this one from Zara last year, but there are millions of them everywhere. My favorite place to shop for inexpensive faux fur pieces, is ASOS. Not only are they great quality, but they usually are super fun with their color selections. Accessories are a super easy way to incorporate color, and here’s a couple of my favorite, affordable accessories that I’ve found.

Although accessories are an easy way to integrate new trends into your outfits, I’m always a sucker for a killer jacket. When it comes to faux fur, you either see accessories or statement jackets. These have definitely entered the realm of RTW (ready-to-wear) fashion. They are a bit boisterous, but that’s fashion! It’s all about having fun with it and being creative. If you are living without a faux fur jacket, in the market for a new one, or just simply don’t know how to say no to clothes, I got you. Below I’ve linked my favorite coats for under $100! Such a deal, if I do say so myself…

Syle Tip: To balance out a statement jacket, really use prints to your advantage. My go-to is anything striped.

Recently, I’ve created foolproof formula for mastering an outfit with faux fur. Since the retro scene is super big right now, I’ve been incorporating retro stripes into my outfits. They are always full of fun, vibrant colors, and it makes styling colorful, fur easy to style. To really enhance the retro vibes, I layer on denim. Denim solves all problems! Finish it off with a pair of booties, and you’ve mastered the CIC faux fur formula! I hope you try out the faux fur trend, and let me know your favorite way to wear it!

P.S. These booties are my FAVORITE shoes of the season, and they are back in stock. I kid you not, that they have been out of stock for months… They also come in brown, and I finally had the chance to snag them! Plus, they are also under $100.
