Fur-galicious

What is it about fur that makes you feel like such a classy person? Wearing faux fur has the power to transform someone’s confidence from 0-10 in an instant. Hence, the name fur-galicious. Whether it’s a faux fur stole like mine, a jacket, or even a beanie with a faux fur pom, you instantly feel so luxe. In the winter, I always try to wear as much faux fur as I can. With it being so festive for the winter, I figured I would add to the holiday festiveness. I mean, Christmas is only two days away!

FURBIES

I’m not sure if you have caught on, but I am obsessed with wearing this mustard yellow color. I think it adds the perfect touch of fun and happiness to every look. Plus this warm-toned shade allows you to always be contrasting with your surroundings, since it’s always so cold and gloomy during the winter. This adds an element of surprise that draws the eyes in, making you the statement piece. I though this faux fur stole from Zara was just such a fun piece to incorporate into my winter wardrobe. It also allowed me to have fun with my styling and to really let this piece do most of the talking. Zara also has a green and blue faux fur stole that is a lot easier to mix with your everyday pieces. Regardless, these furbies are show stoppers that you are going to swoon over this winter!

To balance the rest of the outfit, I wanted to keep things very simple. I figured this simple turtleneck sweater from Boden and a pair of jeans were the best way to go. Keeps you looking super chic and warm, while still allowing the fur to do the talking.

I have to tell you all, though. I have found another favorite pair of jeans this year. I have no idea what the deal is this year, but I have never had such good luck with finding jeans in my life! Does anyone else have the hardest time finding jeans? Anyways, boyfriend jeans have always been a major struggle for me. My mom pulled these patched ones out at Zara and told me to try them on. I was extremely apprehensive and knew they would not work, as every other pair of boyfriend jeans have not. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised by how well they fit. Zara has been slaying the game for me this season and furthermore, I highly suggest grabbing some pieces for your loved ones from there.

To finish off the look, I wanted to keep the color palette cohesive. I kept the blue tone going in these winged-tip, Rebecca Minkoff oxfords. I promise you, the compliments will just keep coming. They are the perfect piece to really dress up your casual outfit or to tone down your dressed up look. Basically, they are the game changers that you need in your life. With the chilly temperatures, a hat is a must. What better way to go than with a pom beanie? Pretty self-explanatory, am I right? Finally, I have found the perfect, dark, winter nude. Also, it’s under $3… It’s that good! Therefore, I’d go to your local CVS or Walgreens and grab yourself the Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in Cashmere. You can thank me later.

What a fun stole! I am so torn on fur, I really like how it looks, but I hate to think of the animals dying for it. I feel the same about leather. I was vegan for a while, and still mostly eat vegan, save some dairy, and once you see those documentaries, they scar you! But I love that there are becoming more and more so many great faux fur options!!!

I completely feel you on that! I have to tell myself not to watch those documentaries… I would be in mourning for years. I do opt for the faux options when it comes to wearing fur and leather. Props to you for going mostly vegan, though! I don’t even know if I could have the will power to do that. Hope you are having a great start to your year though, Laurelle!

I must say I love so much about this look. First of all I think I’ve just come up with a word describing me, that is: fur-boylicious, hahaha. But it’s so true. I LOVE fur (preferably faux if it’s not vintage). I also love the patched jeans, they’re such a great trend right now!
    Have a wonderful Christmas sweetie!
