Floral Rearrangement

While it is still a bit chilly, it’s that time of year where floral details are blooming. Spring is on it’s way! Usually, floral is showcased in a print of some sort. In addition, this blossoming trend has also been subtly incorporated into everyday, staple pieces. The cool idea behind this method is that it’s combining multiple trends, while still remaining timeless. How is that possible this you might ask? A magician never reveals it’s secret, but that’s good I’m not the magician. The secret behind this spring, magic act is embroidery!

Embroidery has been riding this trend train for as long as it can hang on! Quite frankly, I don’t believe it’s going anywhere soon. While a print usually is the main event, embroidery allows for the actual piece to still have a role. For example, this Anthropologie military jacket is still playing it’s role as a perfect transitional jacket for the Spring. Military jackets are an up-and-coming trend for this season, that adds a more causal spin to the everyday, versatile jacket. The floral embroidery details are the supporting role of the actual jacket.

At the same time though, the floral embroidery is what makes this jacket so unique and more festive for Spring. If you are in the market for a military jacket, I highly suggest you invest in this jacket. I’m so happy I bought it, because I have been wearing it with everything. I even took it on my holiday weekend, trip to Oklahoma City, to visit my boyfriend. Whether it’s styled with this sweater dress and some booties, or a pair of jeans and a graphic tee, this jacket is going to be coming in clutch for me this Spring!

In order to keep this contradiction of trendy pieces being timeless, I knew this Anthropologie, lace-up, sweater dress would fit right in. With the lace-up trend still going strong as well, this sweater dress is just the perfect complement to the jacket. I luckily found mine on sale, but I found a couple of exact dupes (here and here). Each of these dresses have multiple color options and even have a better price tag! With these weird changes in the weather, this dress is going to be an excellent option to wear for anything. Whether you sport this to dinner or running on errands, this dress is perfect for every occasion this season.

To finish off this look, I did not want to take away from the jacket and dress. OTK boots would be super cute with this outfit, but I wanted to switch it up with a more Spring-like option. These waterproof Cole Haan booties where perfect for this shoot, because I was tromping around in the mud. When I got home, I could easily clean this booties up. Plus, they are at Nordstrom Rack! Obviously they are a steal, because they are on sale for 50% off! Not to mention that they also come in black.

To keep that pop of color, I paired it with my favorite hat from Milan. I found an almost exact dupe if you are in the market for an orange, felt hat. It’s much more versatile than you think, so you never know. For that final punch of orange, I knew my reflective Ray Ban aviators would do the trick. Regardless, I hope this Spring you find that perfect piece to help you flawlessly transition from season to season. Whether you need the perfect jacket or a versatile dress, I will make it my mission to continue to help you find yours!

The pops of orange make for such a unique touch! I have been loving this trend but have yet to find the perfect piece that’s understated yet beautiful. I’ve been back and fourth about trying embroidered denim…I feel like this is something you’d rock so perfectly!

YES! I’m loving the embroidered denim. I will admit, though. When they first came about, I was not digging them. Can’t get enough of them now! You are the absolute best.

I’m so with you on florals not going anywhere for a while and especially when they’re embroidered. I love the fact that we men too can wear them and I could basically just steal that jacket from you right now, haha. I absolutely love the pop of color you added too to complete the outfit!

These floral accents are just too cute! I’m obsessed with my Madewell military jacket, and this adds a nice pop of color to that look. Also crushing on that lace up dress, I have a similar sweater! Now I want this šŸ™‚

I linked up a bunch of similar dresses and they are way cheaper, if you ever want to add to your lace-up collection haha. So glad someone else is rockin and loving their military jacket!
