4th Of July Outfits For Every Occassion

The 4th of July is right around the corner, and festive inspiration is at an all time high. Whether you are sipping boat drinks on the lake or hosting a BBQ in your backyard, Independence Day is one to make a statement. From the hot afternoon to the chilly night air, an outfit that’s transitional is the key to making a spark. I’m all down for some super obnoxious patriotism, but sometimes I like to differentiate myself from the rest of the american flag swimsuits. Anyone else with me? I’m sharing my top festive tips on what to wear for the 4th of July, plus a go-to shopping guide for all things red, white, and blue!

I was originally going to showcase another outfit for this post, but the day of the shoot I received a special box. Have you ever wondered about those styling, subscription services? You know like, Le Tote, Trunk Club, and Stitch Fix? I most certainly have, and I kinda wanted to get the full scoop. Why should a blogger participate in this service? Is this company worth the hype? Do they work with the correct clothing brands? How do they know my size will work for me? All these questions will be answered in a new series coming to the blog, so stay tuned. Although today, I just wanted to talk about a couple pieces.

Spoiler alert! The first brand to this series will be Stitch Fix. In the box you get five items, but today is just a preview of two of those items. Upon opening the box, I immediately new that this peasant top had to be included in this post. I mean, it’s perfect! It’s not obnoxiously screaming “Merica”, but it still has a fashion forward way of showing love for the USA. It incorporates a retro vibe while, adding heritage to the outfit. I’m so thankful my stylist, included this in the box! Plus, its billowy sleeves are perfect for transitioning from day to night. It’s even long enough to use as a bathing suit cover-up, as well!

The next piece I want to talk about it this grey clutch. I must admit, it’s probably my least favorite thing in the box. I know, I’m crazy. When it come to pieces though, my eyes are always drawn to those that make a statement. However, this one is much more subdued and versatile. Basically, it’s the opposite if what I’m usually drawn too. Although, I’m glad it made it into the box. Because I am usually drawn to the statement pieces, my stylist made me realize that I obviously still need those neutral pieces.

Another reason why I’m so glad it made it into the box, is that it reminded me that you don’t need just red, white, and blue in your 4th of July outfit. Actually, adding other colors is what makes it more unique and effortlessly styled. I also included these tan and red platform wedges, for that same reason. By adding these two colors, the outfit now flows together more seamlessly. So don’t be scared to add some other colors to the mix! Worst case scenario, you can always add a pair of jeans, white sneakers, or a bold red lip to cover the basics.

Now everyone likes to celebrate the 4th of July differently, and some colors look better on than others (or so we seem to think). In order to cover everyone’s preferences, I’ve found a multitude of different pieces in red, white, and blue. Many of them have other colors included, to follow along with the earlier tip. From bathing suits to maxi dress, I have you covered for every 4th of July occasion!

It’s always the little things in life that mean the most, right? Showing some love for American doesn’t always have to be so literal. Try adding some other neutrals or colors into the mix, for a more fused and flawless look. Maybe even give Stitch Fix a go here! P.S. Stay tuned for the styling service series. From day to night or the pool to a festive party, you’ll be the spark of the show! I hope this gives you a new perspective on your 4th of July outfit, and what are you up to for Independence Day? Regardless, I hope you have an amazing time with family and friends!

I could totally see myself wearing this look. I love the embroired detailing on the top and those wedges look super comfy. I need to start thinking of what to wear for the 4th of July.
